Call me ‘old school’, but I still like to write things down. I keep lists for the upcoming holidays, minutes for boards, notes on books to read and hopefully an occasional profound thought – all in slim, soft covered notebooks.
In case a few of you still use pen and paper, here are my favorite slim, soft covered notebooks…
Moleskine, thin with simple Kraft paper covers, 5” x 8.25”, lined or plain pages, $8.18 for a set of three.

Whitelines Journal. Have you seen a page with white lines? I love this light grey background with white lines. Look at your paper in a new way. It is easy on your eyes. You can make a photocopy of a page of your notes or scan it with no lines showing. 6” x 8.5”. 80 pages. $24.
Little soft bound notebooks, 2.8” x 4.1”. Set of four for $7.20.
Extra small Moleskine, come in yoiur choice of blank or ruled and 11 different colors. 2.5” x 4”. Set of two for $12.49
The Pocket Rhodia notebook is 5.5” x 3.5” with 60 pages and a soft cover. Pages are perforated so you can tear them out neatly. Corners are rounded and an elastic band keeps it closed. $11.99.
I am a partner in this website after all, so I am comfortable with the jump from paper to computer screen. Moleskine makes it easy with their Evernote Smart pocket notebook. The lines are dotted so that you can write your notes, capture the page with your smartphone and get a clean page of your ideas saved to the Evernote app. Pretty clever! It has a hard cover, which isn’t my favorite. 5.9” x 6.5”, $18.78.
