The Dig is a 2021 British movie based on the 2007 novel of the same name by John Preston which is based on the 1939 excavation of the Sutton Hoo. A Suffolk, England landowner hires a self-taught archeologist to excavate the mounds on her property. It stars Carey Mulligan and Ralph Fiennes and is wonderful. The story is touching, bittersweet, moving and a tribute to vision, loyalty and determination. The scenery is beautiful, I highly recommend it. Available on Netflix.

Do you have a fashionista friend who loves shoes and could use a treat? Sarah Flint’s shoes are my favorites these days (when I get out of my slippers). Sarah has partnered with Wentworth Puzzles to create this 250 piece, limited edition treasure. The shapes are hidden inside the jigsaw. Puzzle $49.50.
