The American Women Quarters Program will be a new series of quarters, to total 20, featuring prominent women in U.S. history. This is to commemorate the centennial of the Nineteenth Amendment to the Constitution. From 2022 to 2027 there will be 5 new design each year. The first two have been announced, Dr. Sally Ride, astronaut, and Maya Angelou, writer.
