House Beautiful magazine recently had an article about growing healthy houseplants.  Here is a tip that surprised me.

Do Not Use Tap Water 

Tap water is cheap and convenient, but it isn’t the best choice for house plants. Experts recommend using distilled, sodium-free water because salt buildup is poisonous for almost all houseplants. If it is a nuisance to have to buy those gallon jugs of distilled water, you can also boil your own water and wait to use it 24 hours after boiling.

I recently read that many dentists are recommending Colgate’s Total Deep Clean Toothpaste.  Any toothpaste with the American Dental Association’s Seal of Acceptance will clean teeth and protect from decay adequately, but Colgate’s Deep Clean Toothpaste is better than that.  It contains Zinc Phosphate which strengthens teeth with weakened tooth enamel.  It also has stannous fluoride which helps fight the bacteria which causes bad breath, cavities, and gum disease.

This Schick razor for women receives high praise. It glides easily and smoothly over skin, to the point that I wondered if it was shaving anything.  It was, and very well, I might add. $14.34 with 4 extra blades.

One Minute Park allows you to virtually spend one minute in a park whenever you need some serenity. This site has one-minute videos from parks around the world.  The goal is to have 1,440 so that all the minutes in a day are filled.  You can send in a one-minute video from your favorite park to share with others.
