I love reading people’s lists of books that have been important to them.  This list of “20 Books That Have mattered to Me” by Daniel Pink of Pinkcast, is interesting, diverse, and introduced me to several books I was not familiar with.  I showed it to my husband who immediately downloaded the audio version of one of the books to listen to on a long car trip.

Tomato season is coming.  Do you know how to slice your tomatoes?  Many chefs believe that tomatoes should have a dedicated knife for slicing. They recommend a serrated knife which easily cuts a tougher exterior but doesn’t tear apart the soft interior.  The blade is made from 420 Teflon.  It has a two-pronged tip for lifting the tomato slices.  It comes with a protective sheath for safe storage. The knife is 9.25” long.  $11.95 at Williams Sonoma
