Like most generations, the Gen Zers have developed slang words that only they should use, but I thought you might want to know the meanings, if you don’t already. Here are some of the most popular and clever:

‘Rizz’ – something that has swag, charisma.
‘No Cap’ – means I’m not lying.
‘Cap’- means lying or making a false statement.
‘Say Less’ means I’m in, or No need to say another word, it’s great.
‘PeriodT’ means end of discussion.
‘Salty’ – describes someone who is still upset or feeling bitter about something, like losing a game.
‘Bet’ replaces ‘OK’ or ‘yes’ in response to a challenge.
‘Bussin’ is a positive term describing something that is outstanding or awesome.
‘GOAT’ is an abbreviation for ‘greatest of all time’.
‘Sus’ is a synonym for suspect or suspicious.
‘Drip’ describes something that is stylish, cool, or awesome.

Art21 is a nonprofit whose mission is to showcase contemporary artists in order to inspire a more creative world. It has produced several film series and “Art in the Twenty-First Century” which was produced with PBS, and won both a Peabody Award and an Emmy nomination. It is also the first and longest-running digital series committed to documenting the lives and works of contemporary artists. In this series, viewers can see the American contemporary artists at work in their studios, and some artists also demonstrate their process in detail, which is wonderful. You can see the series on You Tube. There are many episodes and artists to choose from.
#001 Colour Palettes is a newsletter written by an illustrator about how she finds color palettes and how she uses color. Whenever she runs across a color palette she likes, she takes a photo of it and saves it in a color folder on her phone. She finds color palettes everywhere. If you enjoy color, or are creative in any way, you will find her posts interesting.
I am a sucker for New Year’s Resolutions. I don’t know why, they never turn out well, but I still have faith, and if nothing else once a year I acknowledge where I could use improvement. NPR has taken an analytical approach, which might be helpful for many people. They turned over the resolution issue to their Life Kit team who created their New Year’s Resolution Planner. They created a plan for many different aspects of our lives that we might want to improve. “Embrace my perfectionism” caught my attention and I took the quiz. I learned that I am a Parisian Perfectionist, which I’m happy with, so I moved on through the ‘ambitions’ menu. It’s an interesting exploration.
