Timely nuggets of information and ideas we want to share with you.

I’ve been watching a show on Hulu that premiered in June of 2020 called Taste the Nation.  The host is Padma Lakshmi, the former host of the cooking competition show Top Chef.  In Taste the Nation she travels across America exploring our diverse food culture.  If you like regional foods and the history behind them, you will enjoy this show.

ohii Lip Smudge is a terrific summer lipstick.  It is creamy, comes in seven shades, and is only $16.00.  It gives a nice amount of color and lasts longer than most light lipsticks.

It is only available at Urban Outfitters.

Do you have people in your life who help themselves to your iPhone and scroll through your photos?  I know I do.  If there are any photos you might want to keep private, here is how to hide them:

  • Open your camera roll and select the photo(s) you’d like to hide. You can select as many as you like.
  • Hit the ‘share’ button on the bottom left of your screen. Scroll down until you see ‘Hide’.  Select that and all the selected photos will go into a hidden folder.
  • When you want to ‘un-hide’ them, go back to your camera roll and scroll down past albums. See a list of media types and below that a list of other albums.  Find the one that says ‘hidden’ and open it.  Select the photos you want to ‘un-hide’, hit the ‘un-hide’ button and the photo(s) will return to their original place.

Small wedding now, big party when we can dance all night again!

Wedding plans are being upended in this time of COVID when big gatherings with out of town guests are not possible.  Couples and families are canceling weddings and re-scheduling them a year or two later – so disappointing.

Those of us who have been married a long time counsel that it is all about the marriage.  The wedding is just the best party of your life.  The solution?  Elopement or The Micro-wedding!  Elope Hudson Valley by Elizabeth Allen.

Elizabeth Allen is a genius event planner who made one of our family weddings among the most memorable times of our lives. She is offering to create small weddings (elopements) in the Hudson Valley and beyond.  You can get married soon – and when it comes time to throw the big party… I recommend Elizabeth for that as well.  Elizabeth Allen Events.

Here is  of top professionals who will create your ‘elopement’.
