Pencils of Promise

Pencils of Promise can use your vote. PoP was founded in 2008 by a 25 year-old Brown University graduate with a dream of building “sustainable schools, partnerships and solutions to enable basic education for under served children in the developing world.”
Adam Braun has had great success to date, including winning a $25,000 grant that will go towards building schools for future Pencils of Promise students in Laos and Nicaragua. Winning that grant makes PoP eligible for a $1 million dollar grant. To win it they need your votes! Voting runs from January 15 – January 22, 2010.
Check out their website, the story is so much more than we can write here. Make sure to vote NOW!
