National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, October 1 – 31st 2018

We all know someone who has been affected by breast cancer. It has been reported that every two minutes a woman in the U.S. is diagnosed with this disease. October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month. We’ve put together resources for you to learn, get involved and donate to organizations working hard to prevent and cure it.

Breast Cancer Detection

National Mammography Day is the 3rd Friday in October. On this day, women are reminded that regular checkups, as advised by their physician, are key to early detection of breast cancer. The day was first proclaimed National Mammography Day in 1993 by President Bill Clinton.

Pink Ribbon Shop was started by a breast cancer survivor providing merchandise and donates some of the proceeds to the MD Anderson Fund for Breast Cancer Research.
