I can never find a wall mirror I like when I need one. Mirrors are useful for brightening a room and making a room seem larger, as well as for the obvious – looking at ourselves. Here are some that A Sharp Eye likes.
This Antique Tiled wall mirror can work in a feminine or masculine bedroom, or in a living room or library. It is handsome and has a vintage look. It is wood with glass tiles. It’s 24”w x 1”d x 36h. It also comes as a floor mirror. $149.00.
I LOVE this star mirror by Casamidy. It’s made in Mexico. In addition to the turquoise it comes in hot pink, orange, green and red. It’s 31.5” in diameter. $525.
This rope mirror is neat and not so nautical that it couldn’t go anywhere. It’s 16”w x 25” h and $136.00.
This Bungalow Mirror from Serena & Lily would look great in a bedroom. It’s 29”w x 2”d x 46”h. It is handmade from Chinese elm made to look like bamboo. It is lacquered turquoise. $695.
This oversized Jill Mirror from Ballard Designs can anchor an eclectic room. It is 50”h x 48”w x 1.5”d. It is iron and glass and made in China. $399.
Finally, take a look at your existing mirrors. The frames can be repainted for an entirely different look. There are furniture-painting shops that do a great job if you’re not inclined to DIY. Here’s a picture of a mirror I had repainted to match a painted bureau. It looks brand new.
