You may think Nashville is only about music, but did you know that cotton candy was invented there?  It makes sense then that delicious candy is still being made in Nashville.  We found four unique Nashville candy companies making delectable confections. You can imagine how much fun it was tasting all the products!

The Nashville Toffee Company started in 2003 with family recipes.  They make each batch of toffee by hand.  The toffee has either almonds or cashews in dark or milk chocolate.  There are also Chocolate Barksin creamy white, dark or sugar free chocolate.

A 1 lb. box of milk chocolate almond toffee is $23.95.

The GooGoo Cluster is made by the Standard Candy Company in Nashville.  The original GooGoo Cluster debuted in 1912.  It is made of real milk chocolate, caramel, peanuts and marshmallow nougat and claims to be the first combination candy ever mass- produced.

The Supreme is made with pecan pieces instead of peanuts.  The peanut butter GooGoo combines peanut butter and peanuts covered in milk chocolate.

Exceptional Candy

Olive and Sinclair, founded in 2009, creates ‘Southern Artisan Chocolate’.  They start with the cacao beans, slow roasted and stone ground, add brown sugar and  end with delicious traditionally Southern chocolate.

There are 8 flavors to choose from.  Their best seller is the Salt & Pepper.

Nashville Candy

The Bang Candy Company makes handmade marshmallows and is Nashville’s first artisan marshmallow company. Sarah Souther makes her marshmallows dipped in Belgian dark chocolate, ‘naked’ (plain) to go with hot chocolate, or in the following flavors – rose-cardamom, chocolate/chili, toasted coconut, vanilla and espresso/praline.

The marshmallows are larger than store-bought and sell for $4.00-$5.00 for a box of four and $12.00 for a box of 12.

Nashville Candy Stores

 The Peanut Butter Bites are beyond unbelievable!  They are moist and crunchy, and the chocolate is delicious. I bought a tiny sampler pack which was a good thing because I let my husband have only one, then I finished it off all by myself.

Please note that they do not like to ship when the temperatures soar, so sometimes the online store is temporarily closed until the weather calms down.  You can always call and talk to them about the shipping.
