WHO: I finally understand Pinterest. My daughter told me about it months ago, and at first I was unable to grasp how it worked. Totally my deficiency, not Pinterest’s!
WHAT: It is a public clipping service. Anything you find of interest on the web, you post on a ‘board’ with a description for anyone to see.
WHERE: Go to www.pinterest.com. Browse around and get the feel of it. You can open categories or view the most popular posts.
WHY: It has a two-fold purpose for ASE: it allows us to share web finds with our friends and subscribers or anyone else who is interested, and it keeps all the many pieces of information virtually eliminating messy notes on scraps of paper on our desks.
HOW: It is a user-friendly site once you get the hang of it, and it’s fun to browse. If you decide to sign up, you must install a ‘pin it’ button that lives at the top of your web browser page. That way, when you find something of interest on the web that you want to add to your Pinterest board, you just click on the ‘pin it’ button.
