I’m quite taken by this idea of hiding a charging station in an old book. I love the look of stacked books, I do not love the tangle and clutter of chargers, wires or charging stations.
Rich Neeley and his wife Brenna spend a fair amount of time searching Southern California for vintage books they can use for their business of disguising iPhone & iPad charging stations in books. As far as I can tell, they originated the idea and have a thriving Etsy shop. They have a large inventory with books such as Alice in Wonderland, To Kill a Mockingbird, Winnie The Pooh, and Charlotte’s Web and a sense of humor that comes out in offerings like 100 Years of Solitude, and Steve Jobs.
Prices range from $48 – $55 for a single book/dock. Prices for multiple stacked books for iPhone or iPad range from $52 – $78.
