I’m quite taken by this idea of hiding a charging station in an old book.  I love the look of stacked books, I do not love the tangle and clutter of chargers, wires or charging stations.

Rich Neeley and his wife Brenna spend a fair amount of time searching Southern California for vintage books they can use for their business of disguising iPhone & iPad charging stations in books.  As far as I can tell, they originated the idea and have a thriving Etsy shop. They have a large inventory with books such as Alice in Wonderland,  To Kill a MockingbirdWinnie The Pooh, and Charlotte’s Web and a sense of humor that comes out in offerings like 100 Years of Solitude, and Steve Jobs.

They offer stacked books and will accept special custom book requests.  You might be able to supply your own volume if you have one you can part with.  There is also the option of more than one dock.

Prices range from $48 – $55 for a single book/dock.  Prices for multiple stacked books for iPhone or iPad range from $52 – $78.
