Tate’s cookie varieties are oatmeal raisin, chocolate chip, and white chocolate chip macadamia nut . The chocolate chip cookie was the cookie that put them on the map. They are thin and crispy and are addictive. All the flavors are delicious.

The Downtown Cookie Co. bakes 7 cookie varieties. My sister-in-law swears by these cookies. The cookies are $24 for one dozen. They would make great gifts.
I love a good lace cookie. They are a nuisance to make so I was thrilled to discover Minnie Beasley’s Almond Lace Cookies. They are dense with butter, rolled, as they should be, and delicate. A one pound tin is $21.95. They also sell gluten free lace cookies.
We tried some of tu-lu’s gluten-free cookies and brownies, and we devoured them. I’m not sure I could tell that these were gluten-free if I hadn’t already known! She has just opened her bakery and the word is getting around. Zabar’s has already picked up her products. You can order the cookies and brownies on-line.
Pamela’s Products Organic Cookies – These cookies are wheat, dairy and gluten-free. They come in mini and regular sizes. They get rave reviews!

Chocolate Gourmet bakes cookie treats with names like Chubby Wubby Maternal Macadamia Nut, or Overprotective Pecan. $34 for 20 delicious cookies with silly names.

Heart of the Desert – If you don’t like overly sweet snacks, biscotti may be the way to go. This pistachio cranberry biscotti is delicate, not too sweet, and delicious.

Tatte Fine Cookies & Cakes combines fresh nuts and handmade caramel in a buttery shell called Nut Boxes, a wonderful version of a ‘cookie’. The butter pecan look absolutely divine, $6 for a bag of 12 cookies.
Marnee’s Cookies from Bath, Maine bakes 13 flavors of cookies. Marnee’s Nirvana is semi-sweet chocolate chips and toffee – Yum! The cookies come in two sizes, regular and mini. A dozen regular is $17.00 and the minis are $20.
